1st Day of Kindergarten

I can't believe that my little boy has started kindergarten. I think I had a harder time with him going than he did. I went and had lunch with him for the first 3 days he was in school and finally yesterday I had to let him do it on his own (and of course he came home with 2 bites of his bagel gone and nothing else).
His teacher says he is doing great! He was placed in the advanced reading class with 1st graders and we are so proud of him. I know I shouldn't be as sad as I am but I really miss having him around during the day. He has a wonderful teacher and of course when you ask him what his favorite thing about school is he says, "recess and gym," typical boy for you... Auntie Kiki & Carter in front of school

Carpet Time
Yes, I did take pictures of him having his 1st kindergarten lunch (neurotic kindergarten mom-maybe)

Circus Circus!

After the rain ruined our plans for a trip to the Evergreen State Fair over Labor Day weekend we decided to take the kids to Barnum & Bailey's Circus down in Kent. It was much more fun than I ever imagined. As you can tell in the 1st picture, Adeline was a bit apprehensive at first, but she quickly became enthralled with all things circus. She now walks around with the Circus Program looking at all the pictures and begging us to read and reread it.
Carter had a great time too! He loved the tigers and elephants and really enjoyed the women getting shot out of the canons. And by the end of the show all 3 children were asleep and Brandon and I realized that we are truly outnumbered by kids....Thank goodness for the Ergo Baby Carrier (for Adeline) and the Moby Baby Wrap (for Eleanor)!

Cupcake Creation

After being inspired by my friend Christina over at her Twitterpated blog and all the cool creations at Etsy, I decided to try my hand at craft making. I ordered Adeline a cupcake onesie, tutu and headband set at Etsy for her birthday and wanted to get more use out it than just a birthday outfit so I thought about how I could make it a Halloween costume. I found some ideas online and decided to make a cupcake wand so she could be a cupcake fairy for Halloween. So I went to Joann's and gathered my supplies and this is what I came up with.
