We celebrated his actual Birthday with a surprise trip to Remlinger Farms in Carnation for a fun-filled day of rides, yummy lunch and feeding farm animals with Nana. We came home to meet Daddy, Auntie Kiki & Bampa and headed to dinner at Carter's favorite restaurant Blue C Sushi. Then back home for yummy cake Auntie Kiki made and to roast smores over a campfire in the backyard. That night we camped out in his tent in the backyard.
On the 30th of July he celebrated his Birthday with friends at Hickman Park here in Edmonds. Thanks to a ton of help from Auntie Kiki (the party planner), Mimi & Nana we organized a sports carnival party. We had different stations set up where the kids could win tickets for doing the activity. The kids then got to redeem their tickets at the prize table. For lunch we had hotdogs, chips, watermelon, grapes and carrots. Followed by Kiki's amazing cake creations fashioned out of Carter's favorite Baseball players. And of course a "Peg Brandon Water Balloon Fight" to cool off.
There was a very special surprise that came for Carter's party. We purchased an awesome football package at Carter's school auction this past year. It is called the Father/Son Football Experience. Carter and Brandon get to go to every home and away King's Knights football game riding on the team bus, hanging out in the locker room, and watching the game from the bench. He even gets his own personalized Letterman Jacket. One of the linemen came to Carter's party in his practice jersey and Letterman Jacket to tell Carter about his gift. Carter was so excited and we were so grateful to Matthew for bearing the heat and taking time to throw the ball around and visit with Carter.
